As a business consultant, with a career spanning 30+ years and having taken part in 8 different startups at various stages and levels of financing (read my story), I’ve learned a lot about what works (and what doesn’t) when it comes to running a business.

The biggest lesson you learn starting a number of companies, successful or not, is that no matter how unique you are as a person, your business isn’t. For the most part all the same business rules (just like gravity) apply to everyone. I don’t claim to be an expert in everything, like digital marketing or bookkeeping.
